How I Became A Reiki Healer

I remember my Reiki teacher telling me that Reiki either finds you, or you find it. In my case, Reiki found me. At a time when I needed deep-healing, grounding and clarity, this practice appeared in my life like a quiet invitation back to myself. For this, I am endlessly grateful. I often wonder where I would be today had I let my fear talk me out of going and had I not said yes to that first experience.
What Reiki Means to Me
Reiki is often described as a hands-on or completely hands-off (no touch is required which is why distance Reiki is just as powerful) energy healing practice, but for me, it is so much more than a technique. Reiki can soothe emotional wounds, support the body’s natural healing process and serve as a powerful act of self-care.
The word Reiki comes from Japanese: Rei meaning “universal consciousness,” and Ki referring to the life force energy that animates all living things. You may have heard it called Chi, Prana or even the Holy Spirit.
Whatever the name, this energy is everywhere; within us, around us and flowing through all of existence. It's pure love and it's everlasting.
What Reiki Has Taught Me
For me, Reiki is love in motion, a gentle wisdom that guides us back to the light, working to harmonize all that is within us. It brings clarity in the silence, peace in the letting go and balance in the surrender. When we stop trying to control every outcome and allow the energy to flow, it reminds us of our wholeness. This kind of healing takes place on all levels; not only is it emotional, spiritual and energetic, it also works hand-in-hand with the chakra system and reaches us on a cellular level, creating space for harmony and ease (homeostasis).
Reiki grounds me when life (or my heart) feels heavy, and it lifts me when I lose my way, when every inch of my being is aching to be grounded and reminded of the wholeness I carry within myself. To me, it's a very special and important component of my "first-aid kit" that I always have on hand.
Why I Became A Reiki Healer
Reiki has been such a transformative part of my journey that I felt called to become a practitioner, healer, master... whatever you want to call it. My deepest intention is to help others discover the same sense of balance, comfort and clarity through it's healing power.
If you’re feeling lost, stressed or weighed down by physical or emotional pain, I encourage you to try a Reiki session either in-person or via a distance reiki healing session. Practitioners all over the world, myself included, are honored to channel this universal energy for anyone who seeks the many benefits of Reiki.
A Gentle Reminder

Reiki is not a substitute for medical care. It is a complementary practice that can work beautifully alongside other treatments, enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal and bringing comfort to the mind and spirit.
